Rumor: Disney partnering with Warner Bros. to bring ‘Lord of the Rings’ to the Disney Parks

Disney Lord of the RingsAt the beginning of this year, there were rumors that Warner Bros. would be partnering up with Universal Studios to bring to their parks. Almost 10 months later and there has been no moving forward with those rumors, but the rumors may have actually changed.

WDWNT is reporting that Disney and Warner Bros. could possibly be putting their differences aside and soon signing an agreement to bring “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” themed areas to Disney Parks.

This could put an end to the rumors that Cars Land will be arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the rumors continue on to say that Disney may focus that park on Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

AVATARland will be arriving at Disney’s Animal Kingdom within the next two years, and the arrival of Star Wars Land and a Lord of the Rings area could really make 2015 through 2018 very interesting and busy for Disney Parks.

Once again, this is a rumor only at this point. There has been no proof and no confirmed word from Disney.

Until Disney comes out and announces anything – if they even d0 – then consider this to to be nothing but words floating around. Interesting words though.

  1. I have been saying they needed to do this since LOTR came out. Then when Univ Studios did HP, I said it was up to Disney to up the game. Maybe they will. It would be a winner all the way around.

  2. This would be amazing!!!
