Doctor Disney’s “12 Days to Christmas” Countdown: 8-Day Disney Cruises and More

On the eighth day until Christmas, Doctor Disney brought to you all…8-Day Disney Cruise Line vacations and so much more.

My entire life, Disney was the vacation of choice for my family and then as I got older, myself. Walt Disney World was my place of employment twice. I had visited Disneyland. I worked for four years at a Disney Store, even. Just about anything and everything Disney that was semi-easily accessible (not the parks overseas yet) was experienced by Doctor Disney. Well, everything but one…the Disney Cruise Line.

With the addition in 2013 of an 8-day Disney Cruise out of Galveston, Texas; it seems only appropriate that my newfound love of the Disney Cruise Line land here in this spot on the countdown.

Upon being introduced to DCL back in September, I’ve now gone on…well…let’s just say that I’ll most likely be receiving my “Platinum” status sometime in 2013. Yes, that’s how often I’ve gone because that is how much I truly love it. For those that haven’t done it, you’re missing out not only on a great vacation, but on the classic and timeless magic of Disney.

Cast Members act like they did at WDW back in the day.

The stage shows remind me of the old Magic Kingdom shows that used to appear on the now defunct Tomorrowland stage.

Disney characters and friends are out all the time and all over the place, and they make you feel as if you’re a small child again…no matter what age you may be.

You just won’t be able to beat the food at the various restaurants, the relaxation of the pools on board the ships and the beaches on Castaway Cay, the souvenirs, the games, the rooms, and just about every single other bit of Disney magic that can come to you in 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, or 14 days aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, Disney Magic, or Disney Fantasy.

My recommendation to you all is to get on a Disney Cruise Line ship as soon as you can. It will be the best thing you will ever do, and you won’t want to ever take a vacation elsewhere again. Well, except the Disney Parks of course.
