It’s known that Soarin’ at Epcot is going to be getting a third theater and also will be getting a new film as it branded to Soarin’ Around the World, but when is this happening? Now, we know the closing date and reopening time for the popular attraction, and it’s quite a long time.
Last year, it was revealed that Soarin’ would be expanded with a third theater and a new film. It was revealed that the new attraction would be called “Soarin’ Around the World” and be geared toward whichever park Guests were in.
The official Walt Disney website has put up notice that Soarin’ will be closing for refurbishment on Jan. 4, 2016, and reopening “in the summer of 2016.”
No, there isn’t an exact date, but be prepared for around a six-month closure.

Soarin’ will close for refurbishment beginning January 4, 2016 and shall reopen in the summer of 2016.
Once an exact reopening date is known, Doctor Disney will bring it to you.
