Flying Fish Cafe At Disney’s BoardWalk Closing For Long Refurbishment For Re-Imagining

flying fish cafe refurbishmentBack in early August, Doctor Disney reported that the Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s BoardWalk was going to be closing for a long refurbishment in 2016. Disney officially announced the closing on Tuesday, and it’s going bring about a re-imagining of the restaurant.

The last day for reservations at Flying Fish Cafe will be on Jan. 31, 2016, and it will officially close as of Feb. 1, 2016.

Per the Disney Parks Blog:

The signature restaurant will close for several months as both Walt Disney Imagineering and the culinary team reimagine one of the most popular places for dinner at Walt Disney World Resort.

You can expect a whole new look, and the team will be working on a new menu (but no worries, the potato-wrapped snapper remains and seasonal approach stay the same).

The reimagined dining room will still have an onstage kitchen and an airier design, with more room for the popular Chef’s Counter and wine dinners.

No reopening date has yet been officially announced for the Flying Fish Cafe, but rumor has it reopening on Oct. 1, 2016. Will keep you updated throughout the refurbishment for a reopening date and ADR booking start date.
