Disney Rumor: The Adventureland Veranda Will Be A Jungle Cruise-Themed Restaurant

jungle cruise adventureland verandaWell, it’s time to look at yet another rumor for the Adventureland Veranda and what could be coming inside of it. While it was originally rumored that a restaurant themed after Princess and the Frog was on the way, it now appears as if one could be coming themed around the Jungle Cruise.

Honestly, this newest rumor make a lot more sense.

WDWNT states that it is confirmed that the restaurant will indeed be a restaurant themed and called either Skipper’s Oasis or Skipper’s Cantina.

The new dining location would focus on the skippers  of the Jungle Cruise being paid poorly by the Jungle Navigation Company and opening the restaurant to make more cash.

Rumors have it that the restaurant could operate much in the same way that Be Our Guest currently does with lunch being quick-service and dinner being table-service. It’s also stated that Disney would like the new Jungle-Cruise themed Adventureland Veranda to be open by November of this year, but again…rumors.

It would be interesting to see this change as the rumors of a Princess and the Frog-themed restaurant didn’t make much sense at all for Adventureland, and it would be awesome to have a dining location based on an actual attraction.

Something big is coming and that’s evident as well by the Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace swap that just recently happened.

Will that something big be a Jungle Cruise-themed dining location? Could be, but we can only wait to find out.

Please remember that this all should be taken as nothing more than rumors for now. Nothing is actually confirmed until Disney officially announces it, and even then, things can change. That’s not to say this can’t or won’t happen, but nothing is confirmed yet.
