Haunted Mansion ‘Mayhem at the Mansion’ App Game Coming To the Magic Kingdom

As if there isn’t enough new stuff coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom this year with the Club Villain, Pirates Card, and Villains Soiree, but now there will be more. Word is that an augmented reality app game called “Mayhem at the Mansion” will let you catch ghosts and return them to the place of 999 happy haunts.

The Haunted Mansion-themed “Mayhem at the Mansion” game will be played on your iOS and Android devices and free to download and scheduled to be in use for MNSSHP. Guests will be able to “collect ghosts” and return them to the Haunted Mansion.

Disney has not officially released word yet, but there is a video out there showing how “Mayhem at the Mansion” will work.

 As it looks, you’ll use the app and bring up the “Spectre Collector” to use on your park map. From there, you’ll go find the ghost in the location and take a picture of them. Later on, you’ll bring them back to the Haunted Mansion.

Hopefully, Disney will release more info on “Mayhem at the Mansion,” but you can head to App Stores to download it now for free.

I’ve heard that it won’t be available to play until Sept. 9, 2014, so the first party allegedly won’t have it ready to play. I’ll let you know because of my attending the first party on Sept. 1, 2014.

If you’ve been to Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the past four months or so, you may have experienced the fun things that have been done with the Aurasma app for Star Wars Weekends and “Frozen” Summer Fun Live. This appears to be in the same mindset, and those were really cool.
