The standby procedure with return time tests that took place at both Princess Fairytale Hall and Soarin’ are seemingly going to continue in other locations. Now, word has gotten out that Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom is doing the same type of thing for its standby line at lunch.
With Walt Disney World Resort guests being able to book FASTPass+ reservations for lunch at Be Our Guest, it’s filling up quite quickly. The standby line now is being given return-time cards for later in the day.
Haven’t been able to confirm if this is just a limited time test yet or not, but it is happening.
Guests showing up to Be Our Guest for lunch, and if they don’t have a FASTPass, will be given a return time. Once all of the cards were handed out for the day, guests are informed that there are no more openings for the day.
Table-service reservations for dinner at Be Our Guest have not changed, and guests can still make those as they always have done.
Much like with the “For the First Time in Forever ‘Frozen’ Sing-Along” and the tests on other attractions, you had better show up early to get one of these new return time tickets.
Remember, this could end up just being a test and end at any time, and Be Our Guest could return to the regular standby line.
I think this is probably a good idea. The line was daunting in December 2 years ago. I learned it moves pretty quickly. Even still, I’d rather have a return time than more line time.
