ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ Now Casting for Characters from Disney’s ‘Frozen’

Once Upon a Time FrozenThe phenomenon known as Disney’s Frozen” continues to be huge as it is now spilling over onto the ABC hit series, “Once Upon a Time. TVLine reported that season four is going to get a little cold (don’t let it bother you) as Queen Elsa will be introduced along with other characters from the hit film.

Casting appears to now be underway for the role of Elsa to appear on “Once Upon a Time” in season four. There was a slight glimpse of her at the end of season three, but only with a stand-in playing the part.

Casting is also underway for the roles of both Anna and Kristoff for “Once Upon a Time. It seems as if Elsa is going to appear in about nine episodes while Anna and Kristoff a few less.

When asked about possibly having a CGI version of Olaf appear, the heads of the show simply laughed and said, “No comment.” That isn’t a solid “no.”

The character breakdowns for Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff in “Once Upon a Time” have been revealed.

Now, let it be known that the breakdowns you will read below have some slight SPOILERS for Disney’s “Frozen” in them. If you have yet to watch the film, you may want to stop reading now.

ELSA” The Queen of Arendelle, this late-20s/early-30s beauty long struggled to control her “chilling” powers and even unleashed upon her town an eternal winter during her coronation. Ultimately, she realized that the key to controlling her powers is love — namely, her bond with sister Anna — and now she is aware of the threat she poses if she were to lose control of her magic again (in which instance Vancouver weather could rival Winnipeg’s!)

ANNA: Elsa’s slightly younger sister is a fun-loving, fearless optimist who often gets herself into situations where she is in over her head, yet is able to triumph due to her resourcefulness and can-do spirit. She values her relationship with her sister above all else.

KRISTOFF: This handsome, hearty, salt-of-the-earth ice cutter spent most of his life alone (unless you count his reindeer). He has a sometimes-gruff demeanor that can hide his deep love for Anna and her sister Elsa. When we first meet Kristoff on Once, he is adjusting to life at the castle — including sleeping indoors for the first time in his life.

Who do you think should play the “Frozen” characters on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”?
