Looks as if Kim Possible has worn out her welcome and the secret agent has been exposed. Confirmation is in that Disney’s Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure at Epcot will soon be replaced by a Phineas & Ferb themed quest.
Chairman of Disney Parks & Resorts Tom Skaggs recently had an interview with Travel Weekly where he was asked about rumors that Kim Possible was on her way out. Simple enough, he responded with an “affirmative” on that.
Disney will indeed “be converting (the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure) to one developed around Phineas & Ferb.”
Kim Possible’s cell phone secret adventure has been played by guests in Epcot since January of 2009.
There is no word yet on when exactly the transfer over will happen, but it likely will be soon with the Phineas and Ferb theatrical film to be released on July 26, 2013. Not that they need much more publicity or anything, but this could really drum up a cross-promotional opportunities with even putting the trailer and release date around EPcot as part of the game.
