A few days ago, the possible dates for the taping of the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade were revealed, and it appears they were correct. A few things that weren’t known, though, were details of how filming would take place this year and they are quite different.
So, the dates of Nov. 9-13, 2016, are confirmed and set in stone…but for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
This year, though, things will be done in a different fashion sa there will be holiday television specials airing on ABC and the Disney Channel throughout the months of November and December.
Walt Disney World will tape stage show performances at all four theme parks and taping will take place during the daytime and evening hours. Disneyland will be where the filming of the entire Christmas Day Parade takes place.
As is typical, Guests will be able to be a part of the crowd watching the filming of the parade and specials, but only during regular park hours. If filming takes place outside of park hours, Cast Members will be there to fill in as extras.
Things are always subject to change, but this announcement was made official this morning.
