It is well known that the Muppets are on their way to Magic Kingdom to teach folks about the history of America and even their start date was possibly known, but now…it is all confirmed and the insanity begins soon.
Disney has now officially announced that “The Muppets Present…Great Moments In American History” will begin in Magic Kingdom on Oct. 2, 2016.
James “J.J.” Jefferson, the town crier of Liberty Square, will host the show which is going to take place at Heritage House multiple times daily. He will be joined by Sam Eagle, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Kermit the Frog, and Fozzy.
Heritage House is located just outside of Hall of Presidents.
Disney states that the show will have J.J. and the Muppets sharing their interpretations of the founding fathers and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. There will be dancing, singing, and sometimes even a Muppet-fied recreation of the midnight ride of Paul Revere.
“The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History” looks like it is going to be a lot of fun:
Sam Eagle, the fiercely patriotic American eagle who is forever trying to set a high moral standard for the Muppets, will join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo and James Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, as they gather outside The Hall of Presidents to present historical tales in hysterical fashion as only they can. From the midnight ride of Paul Revere to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Muppets appear throughout the day to share with Guests, their own unique take on the founding fathers and the birth of the United States of America.
