Plans have been filed by Disney to put in a new attraction at the Typhoon Lagoon water park, and it looks like it could be a fun one.
It appears as if Typhoon Lagoon could be getting an expansion as permits and plans have been filed for a new “family raft ride” at the park. According to WDWMagic, the new attraction is going to be located near the Crush ‘n’ Gusher.
Some currently unused land will be for the new attraction, and it looks like it could be a big one. WDWMagic has a diagram of the new plans and it appears as if the path of the attraction is marked in yellow.
Disney has not made an official or public announcement on this as of yet, and they usually don’t until they’re further out from just having plans and permits filed. Things could always change or cancel or be altered and the reported plan is subject to possible change.
It would be awesome for Typhoon Lagoon to get a new attraction and extra attention as it’s one of my favorite parks.
