For those who thought the Muppets may be leaving Disney’s Hollywood Studios, think again. First, the fun-loving group got their own area called Muppets’ Courtyard, and now they will have their own restaurant called Pizza Rizzo.

According to WDWNT, the old location of Pizza Planet is going to be turned into a Muppets-themed restaurant called Pizza Rizzo and it’s set to open in late 2016, possibly by the holiday season.
Word has it that this will still be a counter-service (quick-service) restaurant with different pizzas and supposedly higher quality food. Reports state that the new name of Pizza Rizzo has been confirmed via documents and Disney permits.
There are not a lot of details known about the restaurant, but it could get a theme much like the New York diner run by Rizzo and his rat family in Muppets Take Manhattan.
As for Pizza Planet? If it does reopen as a dining location at all, it would likely be across the park in the new Toy Story Land set to open in a few years.
