Two sets of character duos are heading to different locations in Magic Kingdom, and it’s happening very soon.
Currently, Chip and Dale appear in Frontierland across from The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon on a daily basis. Soon, they will be relocating to Tomorrowland and appearing once again in front of the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage.
As Chip and Dale move out of their current location, Woody and Jessie will be moving from the exit of Splash Mountain and taking the spot of the chipmunks.
There will no longer be any characters at the exit of Splash Mountain as the other duos make their moves in Magic Kingdom.
The last day for Chip and Dale in Frontierland and for Woody and Jessie at the exit of Splash Mountain is going to be May 14, 2016. You can look for them in their new Magic Kingdom locations beginning May 15, 2016.
As of now, this is being seen as a test, but it could very well, and likely, end up permanent.
Also, until this actually happens, it is subject to change and Disney could change the dates or scrap the idea entirely so just keep that in mind.
