Earlier this year, it was officially announced by Disney that Toy Story Mania would be expanding with a third track. This will help reduce wait times considerably and it incredibly needed, and now it may be opening far ahead of schedule and that’s a good thing.
It has been said by Disney that the expansion of Toy Story Mania would be opening sometime in mid to late 2016. According to WDWMagic, information has come their way that it could actually open as early as the end of 2015.
For now, this is not confirmed in any way, shape, or form…but if these rumors do come to be true, then it would work great for the 2015 holiday season. Not to mention that Disney is already expecting some heavier crowds at Disney’s Hollywood Studios due to the final year of the Osborne Lights and Minnie’s Holiday Dine character dining experience.
The change in opening date could be due to the recently announced Toy Story Land that was revealed at the D23 Expo in August.
Even if the third track of Toy Story Mania does open this year, the expanded queue line may not necessarily be open and operational as of yet.
Hopefully, some more info on this will be known soon, but it would be pretty great to see Toy Story Mania’s third track open by Christmas of this year.
