A lot of new custom graphic MagicBands will be coming to Walt Disney World over the course of the next month or two, but many are hoping for a new solid-color band. Yes, it appears as if a purple MagicBand is finally coming.
MagicBandCollectors has gotten a look at the elusive purple MagicBand that so many Guests have been wanting. Now, Disney has not officially said anything about it as of yet and NO, it is not available for anyone to receive, purchase, or get at this time.
As you can see on this prototype, it is a solid purple MagicBand with a black border, not the typical dark gray. Again though, this is a prototype.
Purple is the most requested color of MagicBand that Guests have wanted and asked for. Not only have Cast Members been constantly asked about one, but I’ve received countless requests or inquiries about them too.
Hopefully this prototype or test of the purple MagicBand brings about a real one and full-time band for Guests to receive or buy or anything.
Many wonder why this color of MagicBand just hasn’t arrived already. There are numerous reasons that have come about such as the purple paint running when wet to Disney never being able to get the “Disney purple” exactly right for the bands.
We will keep an eye on things over the next couple of months and see if a purple MagicBand actually arrives.
