Rumors had flown around for a while, and it was in September of last year that Disney confirmed a Frozen-themed attraction would be taking the place of Maelstrom in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. Now, the rumored opening date has been revealed, and it may be on par with what many were thinking.
All that has ever really been said about the attraction is that it would be opening sometime in “2016.” There was not set date, but rumors did swirl that it could be in the middle of the year sometime.
WDWNT is reporting that news is spreading of the Frozen-themed attraction reportedly opening on May 1, 2016.
Now, this is in no way confirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt. That’s still a far way off and the exact date being set already may be a bit premature. While it is expected and has been rumored that Disney wants the Frozen attraction open by the busy summer months, the exact date has not yet been announced.
Until Disney officially comes out and says what the date is, please just take this as a rumor.
