It’s been rumored for a long time and now it appears as if it will indeed be coming true. With so many changes coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it now will be called something else in the future.
During the Disney Shareholders Meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2015, Disney CEO Bob Iger did indeed confirm that a name change will be coming for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
There is no word as to what the new name will be yet or even when it will be announced. Rumors have been going around for months now that it will be renamed and even some guesses as to what it will be called.
Numerous changes have come to Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the past couple of years, and even more so, the past couple of months:
- Removal of the Sorcerer’s Hat
- Frozen additions
- Closure of the American Idol Experience
- Closure of the Studio Backlot Tour
- Closing of The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow
- Great Movie Ride’s sponsorship from TCM
- Toy Story Mania expansion coming
One can only wonder what other changes may be on the way with so many things rumored and possible. Either way, the name change is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios…what do you think it will be?
