For those that use FASTPass+ reservations for the parades and fireworks at Magic Kingdom, here is some information you need to know. The viewing locations for both of those events are soon changing.
The parade viewing area is changing first and the fireworks viewing areas will change at the end of February. All of this is due to the hub construction and changes being made.
Starting on Jan. 12, 2015, Guests will no longer stand on the Cinderella Castle-hub side for the Festival of Fantasy parade and Main Street Electrical Parade. Now, they will stand by the flag pole in Town Square.
The changes to the FASTPass+ locations for Wishes (and other fireworks shows) will start on Feb. 27, 2015.
Currently, Guests stand in the Rose Garden, but that will change to the Main Street Plaza Gardens which are going to open by then.
Those gardens are a part of the construction going on right now, but there will be two locations:
- One in front of The Plaza Restaurant
- One in front of Casey’s Corner
Once they are in place and ready to use, Guests will have options of selecting which side they want when making their FASTPass+ reservations, if they’re available.
