The Walt Disney World theme parks already have designated smoking areas, and now it seems as if that will be the norm all over. Beginning later this week, Downtown Disney will introduce designated smoking areas as well and the policy of non-smoking areas will be enforced.
The new smoking areas are set to be in place by November 27 and will also be put into place on the maps as well.
There will be only four designated smoking locations throughout Downtown Disney, but those may change as Disney Springs’ construction progresses.
- Next to T-Rex Restaurant
- Behind Cirque du Soleil on Disney West Side
- Next to the stroller rentals and restrooms on the Marketplace side
- Between Wolfgang Puck Grande Cafe and Bongos Cuban Cafe by the waterfront
Some restaurants could possibly offer extra smoking areas in their outdoor seating locations, but there has been no confirmation or further info on which restaurants or if it will happen at all.
Earlier this year, Disney’s Hollywood Studios cut down on is designated smoking areas and new E-Cigarette regulations have also been put in place. Disney is cracking down on smoking and there are less areas for it now across property.
