It’s been over 20 years since “Hocus Pocus” was released and it’s still one of the most popular cult-classic Halloween films that Disney has ever made. Now, there may be more of it coming our way and if the Sanderson sisters have anything to say about it…there will be a sequel.
Bette Middler revealed in a Reddit AMA on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, that not only was she interested in starring in “Hocus Pocus 2,” but so were Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
Within mere hours of Middler spilling her interest in doing a sequel to the film and telling fans to “inundate the Disney company,” both Najimy and Parker hopped on Twitter to confirm their interests in bringing the Sanderson sisters back gto life.

When Parker was asked about being in a “Hocus Pocus” sequel, she replied quite simply:

Najimy went on to say:
“The outpouring of love from Hocus-ites has been astounding. The creativity of their Sanderson sisters costumes, posters, artwork, t-shirts, statues, TV stills, photos, compliments and line quotes have blown up social media and I want them to know…We see and appreciate it all. When a film is being shot, you never quite know the impact.. If it’ll be a hit or a miss, and..with this one …we hear y’all loud and clear! A sequel is totally in The Disney company’s hands— And it will be exciting to see what transpires!”
Now, there has been no word from Disney as of yet, but if the stars and fans have their way…we could get a “Hocus Pocus 2,” and the world would be a much better place.
Someone…please put a spell on Disney and make this happen.
