Memento Mori…the store that the Haunted Mansion has long since needed and deserved, and it opened early this month at the Magic Kingdom. As it soft opened to guests in the early part of October, there was often a line outside and a wait of sometimes an hour just to get in. While the wait isn’t as long, there is still sometimes a line outside of Memento Mori, and there is a very good reason for it.
This store is simply a gold mine for Disney and a gift from the gods (Hercules?) for Guests like me. Memento Mori has some of the best things you will ever see inside and you will want to buy all of them.
There is a “Ghost Portrait” studio inside where you can get your picture taken and have it turned into a shapeshifter image from human to ghost. Trust me, it’s just incredibly awesome. Have yet to do it, but I saw the finished products and they were fantastic.
The Cast Members inside of Memento Mori are in full character for the spooky new atmosphere inside, and they are all doing it perfectly. Mind you, the store isn’t the beauty…it’s the merchandise that you can easily go broke on. Here is what you’ll currently be able to find inside of Memento Mori, and there will always be more to come.
