Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid won’t be available to Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in the early part of 2015 due to refurbishment.
Under the Sea was officially added to the refurbishment schedule as of this morning. It is schedules to close on Feb. 2, 2015, and then remain closed through March 6, 2015.
The attraction is tentatively scheduled to reopen to guests on March 7, 2015. Please be aware that dates can always change to shorten or extend the refurbishment of Under the Sea, and this can happen without any notice.
It’s not exactly known what will be done to the attraction since it is relatively new. WDWMagic believes that some of the lighting upgrades recently installed in the same attraction out at Disney California Adventure could be coming to the Walt Disney World version.
