A couple of days ago, Magic Kingdom extended its operating hours by one hour in the evening due to some higher crowds. The next day, the park was next to empty. That’s the way things happen sometime, but research showed me that the Magic Kingdom has greatly extended operating hours in the middle of October.
Beginning on Oct. 4, 2014, for a period of two weeks, any day that does not have a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, has extended its hours. Most of the time, it looks as if two hours have been added on, but it’s also one hour on others.
Some evenings at the Magic Kingdom even added on three extra hours.
Looking at the official operating hours for Magic Kingdom, here is what I learned.
October 4 and 18:
New Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.; Extra Magic Hours 12:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Old Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Extra Magic Hours 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
October 6, 7, 8:
New Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Old Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
October 11:
New Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.; Extra Magic Hours 1:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.
Old Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.; Extra Magic Hours 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
October 12:
New Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Old Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
October 14 and 15:
New Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Old Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
I checked into October and did not see any operating hours extended for Magic Kingdom or any other Disney Parks over what has been announced for some time now. Always keep checking because they may change things without any notice.
