Refurbishment for Mickey’s PhilharMagic Extended By a Week

Mickey's PhilharMagicAnother refurbishment in Walt Disney World for the month of September has been extended. Mickey’s PhilharMagic was originally scheduled to be closed for just under two weeks, but now it will be closed for around a total of three.

PhilharMagic will still close for refurbishment on Sept. 8, 2014, as originally planned. Now, the refurbishment is set to run through Sept. 27, 2014.

As of now, PhilharMagic is tentatively scheduled to reopen to guests at the Magic Kingdom on Sept. 28, 2014.

The original plan was for the 3-D attraction to reopen on Sept. 20, 2014, but obviously, there is a bit more work that needs to be done.

There’s no word on what is being done to Mickey’s PhilharMagic, but it is expected to simply be a tune-up to sound, paint, the screen, and more.

Some rumors have said that the movie could be changed a little bit, and there has been some speculation that a snippet of “Frozen” could be added into PhilharMagic. There is no confirmation of this whatsoever, and all we can really do is wait and see what comes our way after the refurbishment is complete.
