My Disney Experience Changes Method of Making FASTPass+ Selections

As of throughout the evening on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, My Disney Experience still allowed you to make your FASTPass+ selections the way you normally have been doing it for months now. As of midnight on Thursday, July 31, 2014, the entire routine had changed on the website, and things are looking rather different.

Doctor Disney has taken screenshots of things on My Disney Experience and how it will now look for you. If it doesn’t look this way for you yet, expect it to happen in the next few days or so.

Upon logging in as normal, choose the option to make FASTPass+ selections. You’ll then go to this screen.

Things aren’t incredibly different in My Disney Experience as to how you do things, but the way things look is incredibly altered. Get yourself familiar with everything and know how to navigate it.

For those wondering, I just made these FASTPass+ reservations all of 20 minutes ago for Thursday, July 31, 2014, and yes, Anna and Elsa was available.  So was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and virtually everything else. Only Wishes and Festival of Fantasy was gone.

Oh yeah, there’s a new Disney character that will stare at you while you’re waiting for screens to go through on the website. Say hello to Cogsworth!

  1. Ick. It looks like they changed something else, too. I’ve at my AP FP+ limit right now and it will not allow me to check for availability for future dates. Previously I could look at what was available and choose to swap a scheduled day for the new plans. Now, it is removing the party members at the limit. Are you seeing the same or know a way around this? I don’t want to delete a day unless I know I’ve found something better.

    • I’m having no problems seeing through to my limit of the 30-day window for an AP. There is one person on my friend’s list that doesn’t have valid park admission past two weeks, and it takes them off for later dates…but not before.

      • Oh, I can see the full number of days as being available to make FP+. I wasn’t clear. It’s that I already have seven days set up and it kicks me out when I try to check out available times/attractions on any other day. I’ve always been able to look with no issue, and an option to cancel a previous day would pop up if I found something I wanted instead. (I’ve been trying to find the mine train on a Saturday for my boys!) Now it looks like you have to cancel a day to stay under seven before you can even view future days.
