Frozen MagicBands are coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With the Frozen Summer Fun beginning this weekend at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney has gone ahead and announced something even greater coming your way…Frozen MagicBands.

That’s right, much like those that were released for Star Wars Weekends, the new summer spectacular will bring forth three distinct Frozen MagicBands that you will be able to purchase starting next week. All the fun kicks off on July 5, 2014.

Per Disney:

Coming next week, we will release three open edition, retail MagicBands at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with pre-printed images of Elsa, Anna and Olaf. As with all retail MagicBand purchases, guests must present one of the following for the MagicBand to be linked to at the time of purchase: valid theme park admission, Memory Maker card or another MagicBand. These items will not be available for purchase online or via Merchandise Guest Services.

The Star Wars Weekends bands were priced at $29.95 so I’d expect these to be about the same.

One of the cool things is that while at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Star Wars MagicBands would make unique and specialized noises when used at the park entrance and FASTPass+ locations. Perhaps the Frozen MagicBands will have some of these same type powers.
