If you’ve got a trip to Walt Disney World planned throughout the rest of the year at any time, make sure to check the park hours before you plan. Disney has changed up a lot of things for most of July and throughout the rest of the year that could alter where you go on which days of your trip.
So, here is what seems to be going on at Walt Disney World, and there has been no real announcement as to why it’s happening. It just is.
Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have all seen extensions to their operating hours on a great number of days from mid-July through the end of the year. Not every single day, but a lot of them.
Walt Disney World has also shifted around a lot of the evening Extra Magic Hours for Magic Kingdom to different days so check those carefully.
With the extended park hours for Magic Kingdom, there are extra performances of Main Street Electrical Parade being added in as well.
The morning Extra Magic Hours for Disney’s Animal Kingdom have also been moved around a good bit and put on different days.
With Walt Disney World putting extra hours to many days at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well, there are extra showings of Fantasmic! added in too. Also, some evening Extra Magic Hours have been moved around as well.
For now, Epcot is keeping things the way they are with its Extra Magic Hours and normal operating hours of 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Epcot does have additional hours during the Food & Wine Festival and Christmas holidays as well.
Keep track of the hours for all four parks because there is always the possibility of more changes, but this certainly seems like plenty for now. Nothing wrong with more Disney to enjoy.
