As reported here on Doctor Disney two days ago, Disney did in fact announce that a hard-ticketed event called “Villains Unleashed” will take place on Aug. 23, 2014, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are going to be over 50 villains all around the park and some info was officially released by Disney.
“Villains Unleashed” has tickets on sale for APs and DVC members already, but come Monday, all remaining tickets will be available for purchase for all guests.
An email sent out to APs and DVC members about Villains Unleashed revealed some information about the event and here it is for all to read.
‘Villains Unleashed’ – Pricing and Time Info
Pricing is $67 for adults, and $62 for children. These prices do not include tax.
Sales for Annual Passholders and DVC Members began on June 5, 2014, and will run through June 8 2014. Sales for all other guests begins on June 9, 2014. No discounts are available.
To book, call 407-939-1933 for APs and 800-800-9800 for DVC Members. Villains Unleashed is now listed on the Annual Passholder page, but you are not yet able to purchase tickets online.
The event starts at 8:00 p.m. on Aug. 23 2014, and runs until 1:00 a.m.
Guests will be allowed to enter the park at 5:00 p.m. with the event ticket.
‘Villains Unleashed’ – Entertainment/Events
Over 50 Disney villains will take over Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the event, taking part in shows, meet and greets, and even at attractions.
- Oogie Boogie’s Variety Show: Boogie down to Theatre of The Stars to see Mr. Oogie Boogie host a special variety show, which will be crawling with entertainment.
- ‘Villainy in the Skies’ fireworks and Fantasmic! pre-show: Behold the wickedness as villains takeover Fantasmic! for a deviously fun pre-show, then unleash their powers into the night sky for a special-themed fireworks display.
- Star Wars Villain Zone: Witness the power of the dark side as some of the most feared villains in the Galactic Empire patrol Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- ‘Ex-Scream’ Makeovers” ‘Show your Villain Side’ and get your face painted to look just like a favorite Disney villain!
- Hades Hangout and Dance Party: Hang out with the ruler of the underworld and dance the night away with his party crew – house band Bernie Briquette with Brimstone, DJ Igg Nite and the Underworld Dancers.
- Villainous Food, Drink and Merchandise: Enjoy special mischievous treats and remember the night for years to come with villain-themed merchandise. Not included in ticket price.
- Attractions: Revel in the fun of up to 10 favorite attractions like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and maybe, encounter a villain lurking around.
