Three Starbucks locations are now opened and accounted for at Walt Disney World, but there are still a few more on the way. Now, there are rumors of exactly where Starbucks could end up when it comes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it will be front and center.
Saw the rumor being mentioned and asked a few sources I have, and they said that there is talk of Starbucks taking over the location of the L.A. Prop Cinema Storage Shop at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Blvd.
Bringing a little more possibility to this Starbucks rumor is that the L.A. Prop Cinema Storage Shop is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment beginning June 16, 2014, and through Feb. 28, 2015.
Considering the length of the refurbishment, the big amount of patio space on two sides of the building, and the prime location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios…this could very well be where Starbucks is going.
Disney and Starbucks announced their partnership back in early 2012, and it was announced that all four parks would be getting a location. Magic Kingdom has one in the old Main Street Bakery and Epcot has one in the old Fountain View building and now Downtown Disney has one attached to World of Disney.
There has been talk that Starring Rolls quick service location in DHS could end up as the Starbucks location, but that appears to be out.
It makes sense too because that is a rather small location and the two Starbucks in Disney World parks so far are rather big.
All that is known for sure is that Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be getting a Starbucks location at some point or another. The exact locations inside the parks is what is unknown at this point.
Now though, the location at DHS may soon be announced and confirmed.
Hooray! I hope this is true! I feared it was going to take over Writer’s Stop, which would have been a travesty! Fingers crossed…
