Extra Disney MagicBands are going to be making a bigger round soon as there will soon be testing for Extra Magic Hours.
On Oct. 25, 27, and Nov. 2, 2013, guests with MagicBands will use them for testing with Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
If guests enter for the Extra Magic Hours at DHS, they will use their MagicBands to enter the parks as usual, but they will have their bands scanned by a handheld reader carried by Cast Members at the main entrance. This will show they are resort guests and then they will go through the turnstiles as usual.
Once Extra Magic Hours begin, guests will then be required to touch their MagicBands to a handheld device carried by Cast Members at each attraction. Once validated, guests will then be able to enjoy the EMH attractions as they wish.
Those resort guests without MagicBands will still be able to enjoy EMH by simply showing their Key to the World cards to the CMs.
