Well, let’s chalk this one up to another big rumor, but it is still one that takes some looking into and could prove to be quite intriguing. Word is that Disney’s Animal Kingdom could be looking into incorporating a nighttime show that is similar to World of of Color at Disney California Adventure.
It is being said that some interesting and odd floating pink objects have been seen and photographed in the lagoon in recent weeks. These may be the base for a water projection screen.
Yes, a water projection screen that shoots up like in World of Color over at DCA, but different in its own right. Maybe, a bit like parts of Fantasmic!
Ultimate Orlando is one site that has said there has even been some testing going on already over in the lagoon near Expedition Everest. Testing has reportedly gone on at the dead of night when no-one else would be even close to the park so that it can be kept as secret as possible.
The site goes on to say that a witness even saw one of the tests and said that the technology for World of Color wouldn’t work in the viewing space at DAK, and that Disney could be looking to use a “spray upwards” method.
With people often looking at DAK as a half-day park since they don’t have a nighttime show of any kind. This could bring about big change.
