New details revealed on Fantasyland Expansion: Enchanted Forest and more

The Disney Insider just sent out revealed some interesting new details about the Fantasyland Expansion coming to the Magic Kingdom over the course of the next year or so. Here is what we most recently got:

  • The Enchanted Forest section will be where Belle’s Village along with Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction are.
  • Enchanted Forest will open in “late 2012.”
  • Hint about Under the Sea: “An old shipwreck, craggy cliffs, and catacombs nestled under the castle are the focal point of the queue area.”
  • Don’t forget everyone that Beast won’t be the only one with a castle as Prince Eric will have his as well.
  • Be Our Guest Restaurant” will seat approximately 500 diners at any given time. Reservations will still be able to be made beginning in “late August.”
  • The restaurant will include the Beast’s elegant ballroom, art gallery, and “eerie” west wing.
  • Maurice’s Cottage will be sitting within a French countryside complete with a wishing well and a rustic foot bridge to the left of Beast’s castle.
  • “Enchanted Tales with Belle” will have its first scene in the Cottage. From there, guests step through a magic mirror and into Beast’s library to meet Belle and Lumiere.
  • Tip: Check out Gaston’s Tavern for quick snacks
  • This area is also said to still open for the holidays of this year.
