For those that love the Extra Magic Hours for resort guests at Walt Disney World parks, be prepared to have them shortened. It has now been confirmed by Disney that Extra Magic Hours (EMH) will be shortened from three hours to two hours in 2013.
Checking out the official Walt Disney World website, the EMH change is listed. Word is that this will only happen for the evening EMH, and that the morning EMH will not be altered.
First, the Monorail stopped running for EMH at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Now, an hour is being taken away from guests.
This is obviously to help save some money, but it really is kind of a disappointment to those that love being in the parks at very late hours and experiencing it when its next to empty.
That right there though is the very reason Disney is doing this.
