Details on the Rest of the New Fantasyland – Dwarf’s Mine, Little Mermaid, and More

A behind-the-scenes tour of the Fantasyland Expansion was given to many on Thursday, April 26, 2012 as they headed to the Magic Kingdom. While Storybook Circus has already opened in some capacity with the new Dumbo and The Great Goofini; there is a lot still to come. With the Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, The Little Mermaid, and much more on the way; some great new information was given forth on the tour.

Inside The Magic advised that pictures and video were obviously not allowed, but they did give some information as to the things they saw of the yet unopened parts of the new Fantasyland. Via updates on their Facebook page:

  • Heavy design emphasis on comfort
  • ‎5 water falls will be on Little Mermaid facade rockwork. 30 foot waterfall cascading down Beast’s castle rock work
  • Backside of new Cinderella Castle courtyard walls will be weathered. Front will look like the castle, new and pristine
  • Bridge to Beast’s castle and approach are foreboding on purpose. Transformation moment when you enter Be Our Guest
  • You won’t be able to see Little Mermaid facade until walking behind 7 Dwarfs ride
  • Grey steel in 7 Dwarfs coaster is top of the mountain. Brown steel is ride track
