Epcot’s Test Track has officially closed for the summer and for a what is said to be a huge refurbishment that will take it into the next generation of technology for guests to enjoy at Walt Disney World. As of April 16, 2012, Test Track closed down and is tentatively scheduled to reopen again on September 21, 2012 with a semi-new look and brand new experience for all those that ride it.
Below you’ll find a bunch of pictures along with video from the final days of Test Track.
There has been no exact word on what is to happen during the refurbishment, but it is said to be half-and-half big. Cast Members have said that the track will remain the same but all of the scenes will be changed. Word is also out that there will be the ability for guests to work as a group and “design” the vehicle they ride in.
How that’s going to happen though remains to be seen.
