A couple weeks ago, we got some great pics of the refurbishment on Big Thunder Mountain from the backside on the Walt Disney World Railroad, but now it is time for another view. These new pics come directly from Tom Sawyer Island and give a great look at the front of the attraction which can’t be seen well up close due to the huge walls surrounding it.
Big Thunder is essentially getting a total overhaul with new paint, fixing any mechanical problems, and just making sure the whole thing works well again. It’s long overdue and will take until sometime in May to complete.
As you can see though, it’s looking great so far with new paint and brighter tin roofs on some of the buildings.
