Disney Recipe: Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float

One of the most well-known and famous snacks in all of the Disney Parks is the Dole Whip. The Dole Whip Float is right there with it, and it is often looked at as one of the snacks that people long for and can’t wait to get back to the parks so they can get.

While it may never feel the same to have a Dole Whip any place other than Disney, it is possible to have your own at home. It’s pretty darn close to perfect too.

Here is the Disney Recipe for the Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float.

  • Two 20-oz. cans Dole crushed pineapple with juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream – whipped

1.) Drain the cans of pineapple and set aside. Be sure to keep the juice saved and set aside because you’ll need some of it later.

2.) Put pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of the pineapple juice into a blender or food processor. Cover and blend the mixture until it is smooth.

3.) Pour blended mixture into two 1-quart freezer bags, zip them up, and place the bags flat down in the freezer.

4.) Freeze bags for 1.5 hours, but keep an eye on it. Freeze it until it turns slushy.

5.) Pour the slushy mixture into a large bowl, add in whipped cream, and stir it gently until it becomes whipped.

6.) Place back in freezer for about an hour or until the mixture is completely frozen.

7.) Serve as is for a Dole Whip or place in pineapple juice for a Dole Whip Float.
