Disney Recipe: Banana Bread from Boma at DAK

Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite breakfast locations in all of Walt Disney World, and one of those reasons is the fantastic banana bread. So many don’t even know of it, but you should.

Now, you will be able to taste-test it if you’ve never had it or enjoy it again at home, and you’ll be able to do it with this not-too-complicated Disney Recipe.

This recipe makes two loaves of the Banana Bread from Boma, but you may end up needing more.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks butter (softened)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 overripe bananas (mashed)

Directions

1.) Spray two bread-loaf pans with a non-stick cooking spray and set to the side.

2.) Preheat over to 350°.

3.) Put sugar, eggs, and butter together in a large bowl and mix with an electric mixer.

4.) Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking sofa together in another bowl.

5.) Add the flour mixture into the large bowl with the butter mixture and mix together on low speed.

6.) Add buttermilk, vanilla, and mashed bananas to the bowl and mix well.

7.) Pour batter evenly into the two greased pans.

8.) Bake in 350° over for 45-50 minutes – Use the toothpick test around the 45 minute mark. Once it comes out clean, the bread is done.

9.) Allow to cool before you take them out of the pans. Once removed, allow to cool more before slicing.
