Back in November, Disney finally revealed that Pandora would be opening in “summer 2017” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While an exact date has never been given, the sale of a new Florida Resident ticket for Walt Disney World may have hinted at possible dates.
The extremely popular Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets have returned for this year and are now on sale through June 5, 2017. Florida residents can purchase these tickets which will allow 3 days in the park for just $139 plus tax. For just $20 more, Guests can make it a four-day ticket…both tickets are base (one park per day).
Discover Disney tickets must be used sometime between January 4 and June 9, 2017, but there are some blackout dates and that is where things get interesting…especially regarding Pandora.
Discounted tickets almost always have blackout dates and they are usually for busier times. The 2017 Discover Disney tickets do as well, but just one section of dates. Those dates happen to be May 27 through June 9, 2017.
Now, speculation has started flying that Disney could look to open Pandora sometime in that two-week span which includes Memorial Day weekend. This is nothing but rumor and just a lot of thought being put into it, but it does make some sense.
Disney has said absolutely nothing regarding the exact opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar other than “summer 2017.” So, until Disney officially announces something, nothing is confirmed.
