It was just reported in the last couple of days that Pandora – The World of Avatar would be opening in the summer of 2017. Disney also released from new concept art from different locations in the land, but this latest video of an animatronic from one of the attractions will blow you away.
Today at D23’s Destination D: Amazing Adventures event, Imagineer Joe Rohde was joined by filmmaker James Cameron and Marshall Lamm, the founder of Alpha Centauri Expeditions (A.C.E.). They revealed some new details on Pandora – The World of Avatar and let it be known that the new land coming next year to Disney’s Animal Kingdom would be like none before.
After giving out some information and showing some concept art, a short video was released with the Shaman of Songs, a cherished and respected member of the Na’vi people of Pandora. The message is one that is short, but it is also phenomenal.
Please let it be known that what you are about to see is an audio-animatronic. Yes, the video below is the first look at The Na’vi River Journey Shaman and what you are watching is to put it bluntly…a robot.
