It appears as if some people just don’t end up learning and realizing that guns simply can’t be brought anywhere and everywhere. A female Guest was reportedly arrested after attempting to bring a gun into Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

According to a report from WDWNT, a female Guest was at the bag check of Animal Kingdom when the gun was found. Security was doing their usual bag check when the gun was located in the women’s possession before she got to the metal detectors at the entrance of the park.

Eyewitness reports state that the gun was confiscated by authorities and the woman was handcuffed before being taken away from Animal Kingdom by law enforcement.

As of this time, Disney security does a mandatory bag check on all bags that Guests have on them as they attempt to enter the parks. From that point, additional security screenings happen at random with some Guests being asked to go through metal detectors or to be checked with metal detector wands.

There was no further word as of this writing as to charges filed or if the Guest was still being detained.

Disney does state on their official site that no weapons are allowed in their theme parks:

“Weapons of any kind, or objects that appear to be weapons (also including toy blasters, squirt guns, etc.)” are prohibited.
