Five More Obvious Things That Everyone Needs To Realize At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is an amazing place, but sometimes, people get a little crazed when it comes to their vacation. The same could be said for Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures By Disney, or any Disney destination. That’s why it is up to me to help folks realize some of the obvious things that all should be taken into account.

In the past, I’ve discussed five really obvious things that everyone should realize. Not long after that, it was time for time for five more obvious things, but the time has come to realize a few more.

1.) If you’re looking for an upgrade or an extra plush or some snacks or more park days…there is one sure way to get all of that while at Disney – Pay for it

Looking around at many forums and groups and such, there are many people who want to know how to make “complimentary upgrades” happen or how they can get special treatment for their birthday and/or anniversary and/or special occasion.

Some even think that doing online check-in “ruins” any chance you have at a complimentary upgrade at your WDW Resort.

If you want a different type of room at your resort or you want a little something extra for a celebration or even any reason at all…obviously, go ahead and purchase it. Do what YOU can do to make it happen.

Don’t rely on Disney to do it as it isn’t their responsibility.

2.) You don’t need tickets or a resort reservation to book dining

It’s true. Anyone and everyone can make dining reservations at Walt Disney World locations without tickets or resort reservations of any kind. Dining reservations can be made at 180 days out from the day you’re trying to reserve.

Now, if you’re staying on Disney property and have a resort reservation, you will be able to make them at 180 days out as well…but for the first 10 days of your trip. So, in some ways of looking at it, you’re making them for 180 to 190 days out.

3.) You do need tickets for any reason you are entering a theme park whatsoever.

Many people wonder if they need a ticket to dine at restaurants that are inside the Disney theme parks. The answer is simple…yes. Yes, you do.

If you’re going into the parks at all, you need a ticket. If you’re going to be dining at a restaurant inside a park, you need a ticket. If you go into Epcot early during the day and have a dining reservation at Magic Kingdom later in the same day, you will need a park hopper ticket.

The only time an exception may ever be made is if there is an issue of some kind, you have spoken with Guest Services, and there would be a reason for them to guide you into the park.

4.) Closures and new experiences are necessary and they will always interfere with someone’s trip

Last week, two huge announcements came in the form of a Princess Elena of Avalor meet-and-greet and “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The announcements are incredibly exciting and something for everyone to look forward to.

Unfortunately, as I began perusing comments online…many were disappointed and even angry that Disney had announced these new happenings as they “interfered with” and “disrupted their trip planning.”

I know you put a lot of time and effort into your plans, but to complain about new experiences or extended park hours (more fun time)…it’s rather ridiculous. You’re upset now that Disney is giving you more to enjoy.

The same goes with Walt Disney World refurbishments. Yes, I know that it sucks when your favorite attractions are down or closed or extended closures, but they are necessary. Refurbishments have to happen.

5.) There are no P’s in Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Seriously, it is spelled with not a single letter “P.” See? ——-> Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
