Many have been wondering about the start date for Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom ever since it was delayed from its opening back in April of this year. Well, there may finally be an update on the start of the show as well as the dining packages that could be offered with it.
Early on Thursday, a page appeared on Walt Disney World’s official website regarding dining packages for Rivers of Light. It said they would begin on May 1, 2017, and it had a lot of other info as well, but the page has since been removed.
Rumors have been flying around that the show would begin in August and then September and now October…even saying “at least before the end of this year.” Disney has still not given a date or said anything official regarding the Rivers of Light start date at all.
Before it was taken down, we were able to check out some information regarding the dining packages for Rivers of Light.
Tusker House Restaurant – Dining Plan eligible
- Breakfast, starting at: $37.00 adults and $23.00 children (Ages 3-9)
- Lunch/Dinner, starting at: $49.00 adults and $30.00 children (Ages 3-9)
Flame Tree Barbeque – Quick-Service Dining Plan eligible
- $21.99 adults
- $11.99 children (Ages 3-9)
Package prices do not include tax, park admission, gratuity, and alcohol.
The page did say that three restaurants are participating in the Rivers of Light dining package, and Tiffins was listed, but there was no information for it.
Again, the page did say that dining packages would begin on May 1, 2017, but it is expected that Rivers of Light will begin before that. Still, no-one knows anything for sure as Disney has not officially said anything.
As of now, the information is gone and no longer on Disney’s website so we still don’t know anything in true confirmation. Perhaps this means that something is being worked on for Rivers of Light, though, and that everyone will get a start date soon.
