Hurricane Matthew Causes Disney Dream To Make Changes To Upcoming Itinerary

Anyone who has been watching the weather lately knows that Hurricane Matthew is bringing about a lot of danger and problems. Well, Disney Cruise Line is paying close attention to the storm and that is the reason the Disney Dream has now had changes made to an upcoming itinerary.

As Hurricane Matthew has continued to grow, DCL has paid close to attention to what it is doing and the path it is taking. Now, it has caused changes to be made to at least one sailing and that is the itinerary of the Disney Dream leaving on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, for a four-night cruise.

Disney has now confirmed that the Dream will no longer stop at Nassau or Castaway Cay due to Hurricane Matthew. The updated itinerary is as follows:

  • Oct. 3 – Port Canaveral
  • Oct. 4 – Day at Sea
  • Oct. 5 – Cozumel, Mexico
  • Oct. 6 – Day at Sea
  • Oct. 7 – Port Canaveral

An extra sea day and the stop at Cozumel have replaced the Dream’s normal ports of Nassau and Castaway Cay.

As we stated in this week’s episode of “The Doctor Disney Podcast,” Disney always wants to make sure the safety of its Guests and Cast Members comes first. If changes need to be made, they will be made for safety but still giving Guests the most of their vacations.

Stay tuned to the official Disney Cruise Line website for any possible additional changes to itineraries of the Disney Dream or any of the other ships in the fleet.
