It appears as if the Disney character carousel is going to go round-and-round as more changes are being made and another big name is soon leaving Magic Kingdom.
There was some talk going around that The Mad Hatter would soon be leaving Magic Kingdom, and now, it appears as it will be happening.
Word is that the last day for the Disney character at Magic Kingdom will be Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. As of Sunday, he will no longer have a meet-and-greet location, but he will still be featured in the daily Festival of Fantasy parade.
Alice will still be meeting by the Mad Tea Party and another character or two from Wonderland could join her.
It was recently reported here on Doctor Disney that Woody and Jessie would soon be departing Magic Kingdom, and Rafiki is also said to be on the list. If a character is leaving or not is never something announced, but just kind of happens.
Disney has not yet made an official announcement on this so anything is subject to change which means it may end up being pushed back or may not happen at all. We can simply wait and see what happens with the beloved characters.
