One of the last few memories of New York Street in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will soon be gone as a closing date has now been set for Writer’s Stop.
As DHS makes way for the addition of Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land, New York Street has been almost entirely demolished in the past month. It was closed off months ago and has now seen the city facades and old attractions disposed of.
Writer’s Stop didn’t close earlier this year when numerous other attractions did, but it was altered to be a lot less than it used to be. Now, it’s time has come.
The final day that Writer’s Stop will be open is Sept. 25, 2016. As of Sept. 26, 2016, it will be permanently closed and end up being demolished as part of the expansions in the park.
No, nothing is happening to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant even though it is attached to Writer’s Stop. The barricades will simply stretch a little further now from what used to be New York Street.
