The holidays are returning to the Disneyland Resort in 2016 as expected, and now the dates and details are known.
The Holidays at Disneyland will officially begin on Nov. 10, 2016, and they are set to run through Jan. 8, 2017. Not only will some old favorites return, but there are going to be a number of new offerings for Guests as well.
At Disney California Adventure, the brand new nighttime spectacular “World of Color – Season of Light” will begin. It will “take guests through a sparkling winter fantasy, combining classic holiday songs with memorable moments from treasured Disney animated films to create an experience filled with magic.”
Also at DCA, the “Festival of Holidays” will bring about exciting new fun with Disney ¡Viva Navidad! and special guest musical groups playing throughout the dates listed above. Great food and beverages will come forth from the 14-themed festival marketplaces while characters such as The Three Caballeros and Princess Elena of Avalor celebrate with Guests.
Elena will make her Disneyland Resort debut during this time and then remain at DCA after the holidays end to continue visiting with Guests.

With the 60th anniversary celebration now over, Disneyland park will bring back Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle with snowfall moments and nights concluding with “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks.
The famous and popular holiday overlays are also returning to “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday along with “A Christmas Fantasy” parade.
Santa Claus is back and will visit Redwood Creek Challenge Trail during the holiday season and have a special location in Critter Country over at Disneyland park as well. More details are to come, but they won’t be too far off as the holidays at Disneyland Resort begin in less than two months.
