For those traveling to Walt Disney World in August and hoping to see the Celebrate the Magic projection show on Cinderella Castle…you may be out of luck.

Celebrate the Magic is not going to show at all beginning on Aug. 5, 2016, and all the way through Aug. 30, 2016. As of now, it is tentatively scheduled to start showing again beginning on Aug. 31, 2016.
Projectors will be upgraded for Celebrate the Magic during the downtime. It is not known if the show will be changed in any way or if seasonal alterations are going to be made for the fall time of year.
The Wishes fireworks are still going to continue to run as scheduled as will any stage shows during this time. The only thing that will be down is the Celebrate the Magic projection show which did sometimes (most times) run twice a night in Magic Kingdom.
Surely, this is going to disappoint a lot of people traveling to Walt Disney World during this time, but the projector changes are certainly needed.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
