Dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Walt Disney World have been out for quite some time, but what about Disneyland? Well, there is no need to wait any longer as dates, on-sale dates, and some incredible new details have now been revealed for Mickey’s Halloween Party.

First of all, the dates have been revealed and Mickey’s Halloween Party will begin in late September and run through October.
September
- 23, 26, 28, 30
October
- 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 29, 31
This year, there will be a great new addition to Mickey’s Halloween Party and it’s one that those at WDW have enjoyed for years…the Headless Horseman.
The Headless Horseman will make his ride through the park each night there is a party and only for those attending the party.
Also happening this year will be the exclusive “Halloween Screams” fireworks which puts to rest the unfounded rumor that Disneyland would end all fireworks after the 60th anniversary was over in early September.
There will be even more fun including:
- Trick-or-Treat stations
- Disney Villains at Villains Square
- The Cadaver Dans
- Haunted Mansion Holiday
Tickets will go on sale on July 21, 2016, for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and Disney Rewards Visa card holders.
Tickets for the Halloween parties will go on sale on July 28, 2016, for the general public. A ticket must be purchased to attend a Halloween Party as it is not included in the regular price of admission.
Oh, and the Halloween costume guidelines for Disneyland this year have been updated for adults and younger per the official page for Mickey’s Halloween Party.
“While we encourage creativity, we also value safety and good judgment. Please take a moment to read over our latest rules and regulations:
- Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
- Guests who dress like characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
- Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
- Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
- Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (e.g. full-length Princess dresses).
For Guests Ages 13 and Under
Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.
For Guests Ages 14 and Older
- Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
- Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
- Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
- Masks of any kind may not be worn.
Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards.”
